Project Superstar: As usual, Wei Lian and Jason did very badly. People who know me will know that comments I give will be justified. People who don’t know me, you may enjoy the comfort of not opening your mouth unnecessarily. Jason had a very fake face throughout the whole show. Fortunately or perhaps unfortunately for him, Wei Lian made his shortcomings very obvious in this piece of music. It goes to show that he is not capable enough to sing the oldies, which are by default, a higher level. Now, what says the supporters of him? For Jason, as usual, he chose the wrong song. Expressions were fake, like some backstabbers who’ll carry a plastic face whenever they see you, and rip it off when they don’t. Movements were stony and he apparently could not carry the song well. Derrick’s position is being threatened. Both Junyang and Derrick did well for their performance. Derrick, you rOcK big time!
Plastic face masks, hypocrites, backstabbers are example of terms used to describe people who are insincere, who have a shield when they talk to you and the most commonly seen is the group of people, who are followers. They basically do not have an opinion of their own, and as long as the majority believes in something, they will gladly follow suit. It may sound crude to you guys, but as children of God, as people of the world, it is important to have our own opinion. Every single one of us is s new creation, a different individual with special traits and characteristics.
People with the right state of mind will agree almost instantly to what I have mentioned above. Unfortunately for us, there is this tiny group of people, in every corner of the world, who loves to be followers. That’s how people ended up being drug addicts, criminals and worse, thieves shouting for thieves to be caught (jei2 han3 zhua1 zei2). There is another group of people, who enjoys poking their noses into every other thing but themselves. It is very disheartening to see all these categories of people surfacing, even among your midst, especially in Singapore. You can see these people everywhere. Is it a result of stress in out society, that out people have lost the clear state of mind?
I have some things to share. I call them the “Friends’ Disease”.
THE USER -
Symptoms :
It doesnt' matter how long you've known a user, beacause they act the same way to all their friends... That is, they dont call unless they need something.
The Users usually have a chip on his or her shoulder the size of Bukit Timah Hill, and think that the whole world owes them a living, presuming that everybody shuold help them whenever they need help.
But woe to the person who thinkgs that they will behelped by the person they help out. BEcause the User is exactly that, a User. They will never give of themselves in return...
The BETRAYERS
Symptoms :
The Betrayer is the evil person who dumps out all your secrets to the whole world. You once thought that they could be trusted - they seemed to be able to keep their mout shut.
But NOoO... suddenly, everyone in class are giving you dirty looks....
One day, you overheard their conversation on how you think that the most cutest guy in class is actually a walking boom-pole, and how they hate you for it... but... the problem is you only told one person in the class about it!.....
The most common excuse for betrayers is that it was a slip of the tongue...
The BACKSTABBERS
Symptoms :
Seemingly, the sweetest (maybe until quite plastic), most charming friend you think you could have, always telling you joke and sharing everythign she has with you. Basically, everything a best friend would do. In fact, you spend more time with her then you other best friends, and slowly they lose you, or rather you lose them...
But one day, your ex-best friend (whom you lost), comes to you and tells ya that the backstabber has been going around telling tales about how you are so selfish, ignorent, crude, stupid and stubborn. But the truth is you're quite the opposite....
Problem is, by that the time you know it, it has already been too late...
The FAIR WEATHER FRIENDS
Symptoms :
When all is fine in your world, the Fair weather friend is always there to share you happiness and join in your fun. Then the sky suddenly caves in on you, your parents are fighting, your bro is sick, you flunk your test and you screwed up your wardrobe....
this is THE time you need a friend by you side (especially with the wardrobe thingie) but when you try and find the Fair Weather Friends, they are........ gone. They avoid your phonecalls, your emails, and even physical contact...
And only when your situation is normal, they return and join you again...
Their most common excuse is that "Oh I was too busy!", yea... to busy trying to find another friend to "share" their happiness....
yupz... of coz there are a few more categories... but I shan't bother writing anymore... haha... people might be offended you know.. perhaps you guys will hear people saying, “hey, dun disclose everything about me! I’ll be embarrassed.” LoLZ..
Another thing to share: “[D]on’t quarrel with fools. They will bring you down to their level, and then beat u with their [low-down] experience”(low, 2005, msn nickname)
That was from Nelson, my primary school classmate. Haha.. Guys, it’s already mid week ok? Hang on and you’ll be able to enjoy the weekend. I know we all have been busy due to some work, but do remember not to lose yourself, your personality and everything. I love you all, those who loves me big time, those who hates me to the core, those who really care about me, those who backstabs me. Enjoy your week ahead!
P.S. really miss 4E1. Are you hunky dudes and sexy babes going back to school for the national day celebration? Kimmie is singing! Eh..Support lehz..haha..
